Monday, June 23, 2008 – 8 am to 5 pm (Registration and Continental Breakfast at 7:30 am)

2 hours of Ethics – All EA's are required to take 2 credit hours per year to satisfy Circular 230 requirements .

2 hours on Form 1041 – will cover the dos and don'ts of preparing Form 1041. This topic was suggested by many of last year's fEAst attendees.

2 hours on Form PA 41 – in conjunction with Form 1041, will discuss Fed and PA similarities and differences. This topic was also suggested by many of last year's fEAst attendees.

2 hours on Divorce – will cover filing status and exemptions, alimony, child support, property settlement, retirement benefits, property sales, deductions and credits, community property laws, etc.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008– 8 am to 5 pm (Registration and Continental Breakfast at 7:30 am)

2 hours on New Tax Laws and Developments – we should all be aware of the various tax law changes that take effect in 2008, such as changes in the Kiddie tax, Sec. 179 limits, bonus depreciation, etc.

2 hours on Alternative Minimum Tax – this becomes a bigger and bigger problem for clients every year, even with the “wonderful?” patch that Congress enacted. Another topic highly requested by last year's attendees.

2 hours on Schedule A – emphasis on Form 2106 and interest, since both are on the IRS hit list.

1 hour on Retirement Plans – A comparison of the plans available, contribution limits, etc. Since we and our clients are aging, this is becoming a much more important topic.

1 hour on Schedules L, M-1 and M-3 – these can be among the most frustrating schedules to complete properly when preparing corporate tax returns, especially Schedule M-1.
